About Collaborative Haus Marketing

cHaus is a full-service digital marketing agency located in downtown Midland, Ontario. We’ve spent the last 18 years building something truly special, an incredibly loyal and collaborative team that consistently delivers real results for clients across Canada and beyond. While our home base is almost two hours north of Toronto, we’ve quietly become the go-to team for businesses of all sizes looking for a fresh, strategic, and creative approach to marketing.

We support a wide range of clients, from local gems to global organizations, across industries including tourism, manufacturing, tech, non-profits, professional services, commerce and retail. What sets us apart? We bring together deep strategy with inspired content, strong creative direction, and a practical understanding of what actually works. We believe in creativity without ego, collaboration without drama, and results without fluff. Our team is small, smart, and tight-knit, and we’re proud of the culture we’ve built here.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Digital Content Creator to provide maternity leave coverage in a fast-paced, hands-on content creation role. This role is for someone who knows how to create content people actually want to engage with. Think short-form videos, reels, stories, behind-the-scenes snapshots, and candid photos that feel real.

You’ll be out in the community with our clients, capturing footage, filming interviews, snapping photos, and editing content quickly and cleanly. Sometimes you’ll direct them, sometimes you’ll film them, and sometimes you’ll be the one on camera. Either way, your content will be timely, engaging, and tailored to each brand, not templated or “one size fits all.”

This is a fixed-term contract role working from our Midland office and reporting directly to our Art Director, collaborating closely with our in-house copywriter, strategist, and digital marketing team. While we have team members who handle ad management, copywriting, and reporting, you’ll need to understand how your work fits into the bigger picture and how to adapt when something isn’t working.

What You’ll Be Doing in This Role:

  • Creating video-first content across multiple social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Visiting clients on-site to capture photos, videos, interviews, reels, and stories
  • Producing multiple pieces of content per visit and posting (or handing off for posting) in a timely fashion
  • Quickly editing and clipping footage for short-form posts with a focus on real-time storytelling
  • Following brand guidelines to tailor tone, language, and aesthetics to each unique client
  • Occasionally appearing on camera as a brand representative, or narrating/ directing videos when clients prefer not to
  • Making creative content suggestions and collaborating with the broader team on campaign ideas
  • Reviewing basic performance insights and adjusting content style or direction as needed
  • Maintaining a high level of visual quality, even with fast turnarounds
  • Tracking time and tasks for multiple clients at once

This Role Requires Someone Who Is:

  • Quick and confident. You know how to produce high-quality content fast, and you can switch gears quickly between clients and projects. You can brainstorm captions with wit, humour, and appropriate tone on the spot.
  • Experienced. You’ve done this before, whether for an agency, a business, an organization, or even your own brand, and you can show us your work.
  • Flexible and versatile. You’re not stuck in one visual style or tone. You know how to adjust your work to suit different brands and audiences.
  • Professional. You represent our agency and our clients. You show up prepared, you communicate well, and you take pride in your work.
  • Creative and resourceful. You know how to turn a five-minute shoot into three great reels. You follow trends, meme culture, viral formats and can pitch ideas.
  • Collaborative. You thrive on feedback, teamwork, and working closely with others to bring ideas to life.
  • Comfortable on camera. You can be the face of a video when needed, and you know how to coach others who aren’t used to being filmed.
  • Tech-savvy. You understand the specs and functions of major social platforms and the tools needed to make content perform well.
  • Comfortable driving and visiting clients. Driver’s license and access to a vehicle for client visits is required.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with short-form video production, reels, and photography
  • Proficiency in tools like CapCut, InShot, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Lightroom, etc.
  • Graphic design experience for creating or editing social graphics
  • Photography or phone photo editing experience (Lightroom, VSCO, Snapseed)
  • Understanding of social media best practices and platform nuances (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Experience adapting content to fit multiple brand voices and guidelines
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or authenticity
  • Comfort working in-office and regularly visiting clients across North Simcoe
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and computer skills
  • 2+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media
  • Post-secondary education in media, marketing, design, photography, or communications is a bonus
  • Photography or videography training (formal or self-taught)
  • Experience working with agencies or on multiple client accounts
  • Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits

This is not an entry-level or learn-as-you-go position. We’re looking for someone who already knows how to create engaging content, work across different brands, and move quickly and professionally. We’re ready to hit the ground running and we need someone who is too.

This role is intended to provide temporary coverage during a maternity leave, with a structured handoff and onboarding process to support continuity for clients and the team.

If this sounds like you, and you’re excited to join a small, highly creative team doing great work with good people, then we can’t wait to meet you.

Details:

  • Contract Term: Fixed-term maternity leave coverage, expected to run from June 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension based on timing and organizational needs
  • Compensation: $23 – $25/hour, 40-hour work week
  • Schedule/location: Full-time, in-office with flexibility, including local travel
  • Vacation/statutory entitlements: Provided in accordance with applicable employment standards and the terms of the employment agreement
